Excerpts from The
Joy Of
Being book and
2 CD's:
"The lack of self-love is more than just an individual crisis:
it is an ecological hazard. When we condemn and loathe ourselves
we tend to condemn others, the world and the way things are. For
this reason, we feel alienated from the human family. Conversely,
loving ourselves unites us with the world and makes it a happier
place. Only by reconnecting to presence - our authentic selves,
can we be connected to the world at large."
"To love and appreciate yourself is to love and appreciate
all of creation - because in love there is no separation. People
who love themselves make the world a happier place, and that is
cause for celebration."
"The surrendered state is the loving place we reach when
we are out of the controlling state of the Ego Fear Mind. In the
surrendered state we dwell in our being, our attention is ‘dropped’
from the head to the heart and core. In this state we trust in
life to do the navigation, and we participate willingly and with
trust."
"Self-love as a concept can be challenging. For many it brings
up concerns about self-centeredness, selfishness and narcissism.
As a practice however it takes on another energy. It is not about
ourselves loving ourselves; it is about being open to love as
the purest, most powerful and finest energy that we are. It means
allowing love to fill us – especially where we’re
bruised and feel un-whole – and accepting that everything
that’s happening is not done to us but is happening through
us, and is an opening for love. Especially, the parts we most
want to hate, negate and do away with"
.
"I want to invite you to embark on a journey. This could
be the most exciting and beneficial journey of your life. It is
a journey into yourself, with the sole purpose for you to become
more familiar and befriend yourself, and bring more heart, more
soul, more love and more joy into your life."

How to age more gracefully, wisely and joyfully
While the anti-aging
industries and technologies are growing, we still need
to deal with the internal aspects of the aging process, and the
progression
of time. Ultimately, our happiness is a timeless, inside job -
depending on
our ability to respond with Respect, Endurance, Acceptance &
Love ofourselves and of life. Being Present with the aging process
can be filled
with joy, inner peace and wisdom of heart. Through the practice
of dynamic mindfulness meditation and conscious breathing, we
can learn to focus ourattention on the moment, transform our fears
of growing older; the anticipatory
anxiety of the future, and regrets about the past - one breath
at a time. In this workshop we shall learn to move, rest, stay
alert, and dialogue mindfully, and cultivate a personal practice
- alone and in community.Learn how to grow older - more gracefully,
and make the necessary
adjustment to accept and celebrate the inevitable now of your

Understanding
and Transforming Unbearable Pain
Pain
is a necessary part of life. It alerts us to the fact that something
needs to be watched for and tended to, but there are times it
can relentless create so much stress, anxiety, and/or depression
that our lives are derailed. Whether it is physical, emotional,
or mental, such intense pain is hard to understand, embarrassing
to share, and difficult to accept. In time it may begin to define
who we are. Much of the emotional/mental pain we are feeling is
not personal but part of the overwhelming pain of the world,.
Samuel Kirschner has had over 20 years' experience as a mindfulness
meditation teacher and counselor, teaching thousands, including
many people with HIV and cancer, how tomanage stress and pain.
Recently blind sided himself by an episode of severe, nearly suicidal
depression, Samuel has emerged with a deeper understanding of
pain and powerful new skills, renewed and revitalized in his commitment
to be of service to those with unbearable pain. If you or someone
you know is suffering from extreme pain, join Samuel Kirschner
as he shows how we can begin to:
*Speak about our pain with dignity and authenticity.
* Learn to understand the world's pain, and how it affects us
personally.
* Become aware of our fearful mind sets and the fear-based culture
in which we live, and free ourselves from the judging mind.
* Open ourselves to support without attachment to results.
* Practice mindfulness meditation -- committing to an awareness
of the present moment.* Restore our life force through deep breathing
and conscious movement.
* Cultivate compassion.
* Learn to practice the JOB - Joy of Being alive, breath-by-breath.*
Maintain a regular daily practice.
In seeking relief from pain, we understandably just want to get
rid of it, but there are times when the only possible relief can
come from transforming ourrelationship to it--non-judgment ally
opening up to its moment-by-moment sensations and seeing it for
what it is. This experienced and committed teacher can help us
discover that, paradoxically, being compassionate to ourselves
andaccepting our own pain can free us from the shackles of excessive
suffering, renew our faith, and re-awaken the basic joy of being
alive.
